To create authentic character in this new build, we brought in a ton of vintage pieces and designed custom elements using real materials that will patina over time (such as the marble sink and base in the powder room). A vintage Louis Philippe mirror from France is flanked by a pair of handmade sconces from a small shop in New York. Around the corner from the powder room, you’ll see two copper converted English gas lamps from the 1910’s, sourced from my friends at Cooling & Cooling, a shop out in a village just outside of Tarporley in the United Kingdom.
